The club presented trophies to the first 3 inductees into its Hall of Fame last week.
The criteria for entry by players or ex-players were: –
playing a League game at League 2 or above
scoring in the FA Cup Round 1 or above
getting capped at any level
The Club was delighted to honour and recognise 3 ex players who received awards in front of a packed crowd at it’s clubhouse: –
Tom Marshall who scored for Tamworth v Carlisle in Round 2 of the FA Cup.Tom played for the club from U12s to U16s
Danny Smith who scored for Chasetown v Port Vale in Round 2 of the FA Cup.Danny played for the Club from U10s to U16s
Olivia Fergusson who has been capped by England Ladies at U17s level. Olivia played for the Club at U10s level.
In addition, the Club also recognised the following: –
2012 Club Team of the Year – U11s Colts who received the Matt Harrison Memorial Trophy
2012 Endeavour Team of the Year – U8s Panthers who received the Walmsley Trophy
2012 Player of the Year – Emily Tonks who received the Ben Young Memorial Trophy
2012 Clubman of the Year – 13 year old Carl Parfitt who received the Jo Stoddart Memorial Trophy
There was also a special award given to Club founder, President and Treasurer – Bill Hickenbottom – who received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
