Spartans,
Today you showed your spartan spirit and played your socks off,
I’ll start off with our first game against Tipton Fc were in our first fixture we suffered a heavy defeat to this well drilled team who are 24 months our senior,
were as today it was a completely different story. today it was clear to see that all our hard work on training is paying off, our man marking was brilliant our 2 touch football was amazing and we controlled the game all the way through, the opposition couldn’t get through our rock off a defence Hayden/Thomas made sure no one got the better of them both players being strong and both skilful at all times, and on the odd occasion when they broke through we had mad max there in goal to make some brilliant saves and to put them of there game!! Also josh Stanley and josh coffe played there socks off both passionate and strong all the way through and came close to scoring some really good goals!
But in our first game Aiden and coby managed to play some brilliant football for coby to finish the move with a absolute wonder goal!! All in all the first game was amazing, after a lucky last minute goal for the opposition, but after the game had finished the manager of Tipton Fc praised the Spartans on how far we had come, he couldn’t believe how much of a different team we were today compared to our first fixture against them we were confident,skilful and showed the passion to win the ball at all times,
And as for the second game against Cannock clots again a similar story we suffered a heavy loss to this team who again are also 24 months our senior, but today was a different story. Little cams wonder goal from actually being in goal, a beautifull goal kick which managed to find it’s way in the net, couldn’t be more prouder of each and every player today especially Hayden for finally coming out of his shell and getting stuck in not being scared and just going for it no matter the outcome, it’ was lovely to see his face change over the weeks from a little timid spartan to now being a calm confident always smiling on the pitch spartan,
Once again im very proud of you all today it’s great to see all your hard work paying off,
