A blistering start by both teams made for an impressive spectacle as both teams showed an excellent range of skills and it was obvious from the off this was going to be a decent game.
Ammar Dyer and Adam Croft started brightly for CS Colts and they put Wyrley under early pressure but Reece Duckers was alert to thwart any danger, with 12 minutes on the clock Louis Reynolds was dispossessed 25 yards from goal and Dyer coolly slotted home.
Wyrley came back at CS with Jimmy Guest and Jack Snoddy working tirelessly and as they approached the 20 minute mark they combined with Archie Tonks and a swift break down the right found Jack Hems, who rifled his initial shot straight at the keeper but he tucked home the rebound, just, after a great effort from Finn Evans in the CS goal.
Wyrley had a good spell of pressure and Ethan Richardson fired over when well placed & Jamie Hitchborne couldn’t qutie get enough on his effort at the back post. CS retook the lead from a Wyrley corner when the ball was half cleared to a Wyrley defender but after side stepping one challenge he was met with a 2nd player who nicked the ball and a quick counter saw Weston Palanga fire home.
Wyrley did not let this affect them and Jack Hems played a neat 1-2 with Ethan Richardson and casually drilled home into the bottom left corner.
The 2nd half saw Wyrley pressing much higher up the pitch with Jack Snoddy, Jimmy Guest and Jamie Hitchborne controlling midfield and Jack Hems completed his hattrick to put Wyrley infront, Jacob Gwilt, Jack Robinson and Archie Tonks were outstanding at the back and Ben Lockley and Adam Linnell both went close with good opportunities to extend the lead. Jimmy Guest surged forward and was teed up after great work down the Wyrley right and his effort from 20 yards nestled in the bottom corner. An end to end finish saw both teams going close with Reece Duckers making one outstanding save to ensure an excellent victory over a very good CS Colts side.
