2012/13 midseason review

Another busy 12 months for the club, with the following being the highlights: –

– 5 league winners and 8 cup winners last season
– nearly 40 teams and 2 academies in place
– the clubhouse officially opened by Sir Trevor Brooking in September
– our first Christmas Fayre was a success
– another successful tournament
– 1 team already league winners and 6 others in prime position to win their leagues
– the recovery to health of Trevor Smith
– the kind donation of a defibrillator by Kelchers
– the continued strength of our website, which now has nearly 1,000 members, 1,600 posts and nearly 1,500 comments
– the launch of our Facebook Page in February and has over 360 LIKES already
– the launch of our own APP in March – not many Championship clubs have an APP, never mind a junior club

Plans for 2013: –

– we will hopefully recruit players for our first disabled team at a Staffs FA supported event in January
– we have moved our Tournament forward one week to avoid Father’s Day
– the completion of 4 pitches to enable up to 16 teams to play at our home ground
– A Ladies’ Reserve team to be in place for 2013/14 season
– and hopefully some good news about another award we have been nominated for.

Thanks go to all players, parents, managers, sponsors and committee members for all their help and support throughout the year.
We should also thank ACS Europe Limited and Lift & Engineering Limited for their help and support.
