After much consideration and after looking at the cancellations of major sporting events, the club has made a tough but, we feel, correct decision in cancelling this year’s annual tournament in June and July.
This is the first time in 24 years we have had to cancel and, as the profits from it enable us to fund the club’s operations, will make this next season a tough one for us. We have other ideas to enable us to bridge the funding gap, however.
We had filled the tournament already and we are proposing two options for teams that have paid for their entrance: –
Let us know if you want a full refund by forwarding your account details to us OR
Wouldn’t it be a wonderful gesture from the local football community to donate the entrance monies to the NHS?
Let us know your preference by emailing tournament secretary Kate on Kateforeman67@btinternet.com
We will look at potential options later in the year to arrange a replacement tournament if we can, but in the meantime there are more important things than football – and we never thought we would say that!
Please take heed of all Government advice and stay safe!
